I know Barcelona like the back of my hand. That’s why I’m confident in this post. Here you’ll find suggestions for cheap eats in Barcelona, my personal favourite sushi restaurant, an idea for date night, AND a must-visit brunch location. If you don’t want to get tricked by tourist traps offering frozen paella, you need to read the below. Let’s go eat like a local.
To help you out with planning your next trip, I’ll even add the download to my free Barcelona guide. Hit the button to discover more…
Bar El Tomas.
‘Bar El Tomas’ is known across Barcelona for having the best ‘Patatas Bravas’. You won’t get a full menu of food here, but you don’t need it. You only need the Patatas Bravas. The bar is hidden away in one of the more residential zones of Barcelona, but that only adds to the charm. By the way, the price point is sensational.
If you know me personally, you’ll know how much I rave about ‘Copasetic’. A place I discovered by accident. The thing is, Copasetic is the type of place you’d run towards for a casual brunch or dinner. You can literally taste the wholesomeness of ingredients in the pancake stacks, waffles, sandwiches, and burgers. Need more convincing? Nearly every item on the menu can be adapted to GF/ Vegan or Lactose-Free. Just make sure you make a reservation! The restaurant is very popular.
Let me tell you, Dos Torres is lavish. The good kind though, not the type that leaves you hungry because you’re served a carrot with some fancy sauce. The best way I could describe the food would be home-cooking vibes, teamed with major artistic flair. A perfect date-night spot, if you ask me.
Not only is the interior an anime lover’s dream, but you’ll also come across some of the nicest ramen and sushi out there. There is no catch with this one guys. Just flavorsome food at backpacker-friendly prices. Trust me, I’m a regular.
La Coqueta is THE place for traditional Mediterranean food. A true hidden gem, if you will. Oh, and you can bet your last euro you’ll find adequate gluten-free options. When you see the exterior, you might not think La Coqueta is anything special. However, the food and service will change your mind real quick. Thank me later…
Until then, see you in the next post.
